Individual Mini Athletics franchisees are joint controllers in respect of the delivery of classes in their territory. Where we say 'we', 'us' or 'our' in Part A, we are referring to Mini Athletics United Inc and, where relevant, the franchisee operating in your area.

When you enrol your child, we may collect:

We do not collect data directly from children. All enrolment data is provided by the parent or guardian.

Mini Athletics programmes serve children under the age of 13. In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not collect personal information directly from children. All data relating to your child is provided by you as parent or guardian.

 

We collect only the information necessary to deliver the programme safely and effectively. We do not use your child's data for marketing purposes, and we do not share it with third parties except where necessary for programme delivery or as required by law.

A5. Text Messaging and SMS Communications

By providing your telephone number during enrolment, you consent to receive text messages from Mini Athletics United Inc or your local franchisee for transactional purposes, including session cancellation notices and important programme updates.

 

We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable federal and state regulations governing text message communications. This consent is not a condition of enrolment.

 

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services.

 

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. Standard message and data rates may apply.

 

A6. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share your data only with:

•       The Mini Athletics franchisee operating in your area, for the purpose of delivering classes

•       Service providers supporting our IT systems and booking platform, acting under our instruction

•       Regulatory or government authorities where we are legally required to report

 

A7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable federal and state breach notification laws.

 

A8. Data Retention

We will retain your enrolment data for as long as your child is enrolled in a Mini Athletics programme and for up to two years thereafter. Health and safety data relating to your child will be retained for as long as legally required. After the applicable retention period, your data will be securely deleted.

•       Access the personal data we hold about you and your child

•       Request correction of inaccurate data

•       Request deletion of your personal data
